STORY OF A GO-GETTER

Description

In October and November 1994, Vicente, a man with the determination of a fighter, signs a contract in Palma de Mallorca to work in the Dominican Republic. Euphoria floods him as he leaves the company president’s office, and he decides to share the exciting news with his young children, despite his young age.

On 5 December, Vicente sets off on his journey with barely two thousand pesetas in his pocket and the uncertainty of a destination and a job yet to be discovered. From the aircraft, he looks out over the island of Mallorca, ponders the possibility of returning and reflects on the long and arduous life he has led. His deepest wish is to leave his children a legacy to be proud of, a token of his resilience and indomitable spirit.
