Synopsis

At 26, Vicente feels trapped by the expectations of adult life. Married to Cati Lliteras and recently arrived in Manacor, he finds a job as manager of the Oliv-Art cafeteria, a meeting point for the business elite. Although he longs to be a writer, responsibilities and lack of opportunities seem to keep him away from his dream.

His destiny takes an unexpected turn when he meets a group of intellectuals, among them Rafael Ferrer Massanet, director of the magazine Perlas y Cuevas. They introduce him to the hermetic Mallorcan society, confronting him with a difficult choice: follow his passion for writing or succumb to the temptations of an elite that offers him privileges in exchange for risks?
